The truffle hunt is about 2 hours. In the beginning, we will explain to you something about Black and White Alba truffle. Then, passing Alba wine yards and hazelnut fields, we arrive at the truffle woods, called in Piedmont “tartufaia“. There we follow the dog and we will find some truffle. After this experience, you can really enjoy International Alba White Truffle Fair
Your truffle experience will start in the Alba wood. Here you will meet the “Trifolau” and his dog, who will accompany you during this outdoor activity.
Wearing the rubber boots that you will be given, if you wish, you can enter the woods to begin the search for the prized truffle. At this point the dog will sniff near the roots of the trees to find the point where the truffle hides.
With patience and attention you will wait for the dog to find the truffle. When you least expect it you will see the dog wagging its tail, sniffing eagerly and digging with its paws. At this point it’s up to you to dig with your hands to collect the truffle intact.
Find the first truffle you will continue the search that will last a couple of hours in total, to find the greatest number of truffles possible.

Driving is one of the most convenient ways to reach Alba from Milan. The journey typically takes around 2 hours via the A7 and A21/E70 motorways. This route offers beautiful scenic views of the Italian countryside.
