Nizza Monferrato, one of the most famous cities in Piedmont for the production of wine, is located in the three main cities of Piedmont such as Alba, Asti and Alessandria, in the heart of Monferrato. The main wines produced each year on the hills of Nizza Monferrato are red wines such as Barbera, Nebbiolo, Nizza, white wines like Gavi, Moscato and Spumanti.

Nizza Monferrato located in the upper Monferrato, in the Belbo Valley is 26 km from Asti, 86 km from Turin, 40 km from Alba and 12 km from Canelli. The Belbo Valley area is an area rich in vineyards where the superior Barbera d’Asti is also produced, which like Barolo wine, can be produced only in some municipalities with certain restrictions. Barolo wine can be produced in a small circle of municipalities: Barolo, Castiglione Falletto and Serralunga d’Alba and part of the territories of the municipalities of La Morra, Monforte d’Alba, Roddi, Verduno, Cherasco, Diano d’Alba , Novello and Grinzane Cavour.
