Nizza Monferrato, one of the most famous cities in Piedmont for the production of wine, is located in the three main cities of Piedmont such as Alba, Asti and Alessandria, in the heart of Monferrato. The main wines produced each year on the hills of Nizza Monferrato are red wines such as Barbera, Nebbiolo, Nizza, white wines like Gavi, Moscato and Spumanti.
Nizza Monferrato located in the upper Monferrato, in the Belbo Valley is 26 km from Asti, 86 km from Turin, 40 km from Alba and 12 km from Canelli. The Belbo Valley area is an area rich in vineyards where the superior Barbera d’Asti is also produced, which like Barolo wine, can be produced only in some municipalities with certain restrictions. Barolo wine can be produced in a small circle of municipalities: Barolo, Castiglione Falletto and Serralunga d’Alba and part of the territories of the municipalities of La Morra, Monforte d’Alba, Roddi, Verduno, Cherasco, Diano d’Alba , Novello and Grinzane Cavour.
The first winery you will visit, in the heart of nice will open up to you the prte towards their cellar, here you will face the path that makes the grapes to become wine. Starting from the pressing, passing through the fermentation to the aging room in barrels of fine wood.
At the end of the Nice tour, you can taste 5 wines: Spumante Brut, Barbera d’Asti DOCG, Nizza DOCG, Moscato d’Asti DOCG, and an aromatized Barbera Wine. The tasting will be accompanied by breadsticks, canapés, cheeses and cured meats typical of Piedmontese cuisine.
Later we will move to another winery in Nice. Here you can stroll through the vineyards and then move to the cellar to watch the wine production steps.
Finally you will be able to taste at your choice different wines, along with cold cuts and cheeses and Piedmontese desserts, such as hazelnut cake and small pastries like Baci di Dama. Here, if you wish, you can buy bottles of wine that you tasted during the tasting.

During the visits to the winery, the phases of wine production will be explained, in addition to the organoleptic information.
